About Devin Reston

Devin Reston comes from a strong entrepreneurial background with varied experiences in creating and building startups in the fields of optical hardware, energy beverages, and medical software. The latter was selected as a Life Sciences Wild Card Semi-Finalist in the prestigious MIT 100K business plan competition. Devin utilizes his business acumen and experience as a trusted partner and negotiator for buyers and sellers of property on Martha’s Vineyard.

 

Devin has a strong connection to the island of Martha’s Vineyard, as his family owned the Vineyard Gazette from 1968 until late 2010. He has fond memories of helping out in the pressroom growing up. He assisted the family in the sale of the Gazette to Jerome and Nancy Kohlberg. Since the sale, he has managed the seasonal rental of the 179-year-old Davis Academy located in the Edgartown Village, which the family retained. Devin is also an avid skier and has worked at Alta, Snowbird, and Park City Mountain Resort. He enjoys sailing and exploring the island by foot or bicycle.

 

Devin is very active in non-profits that improve the island community. He serves on the Board of Adult Community Education, and as their Chairman of Development and Outreach. He also serves on the board of the Martha’s Vineyard Social Justice Leadership Foundation which assists in efforts such as affordable housing. He is the Vice-Chairman of the finance committee for the historic Federated Church of Martha’s Vineyard.
